Common sense is our main rule!
Only running a few mods with bukkit. The most essential mods, like /home and such.
Rules:
1. Do not steal, or destroy others creations.
2. No Griefing.
3. Do not lit forest on fire, if you need to. Ask a OP for permission and plan it wisely.
4. No Cheats(noclip, item spawner, etc).
5. No Random Attacking. PVP Allowed if both parts agrees.
6. Chop down a tree? Plant 1-2 new =)

A simple yet powerfull timer application for windows.
It’s a simple timer application, with alarm sound when the time runs out. Can be minimized to tray, and pops up when times over. Can even start programs, soundfiles and shutdown the computer when it runs out.
Customize it to your use!
Features, new ones are in bold:
* Shutdown, powers off the computer when the timer runs out.
* Popup Message, show a message when the timer runs out.
* Added hours to the timer, now you can add up to 23 hours.
* No pop up from tray, stays hidden even after time runs out.
* Mute, alarm makes no sound. Nice for starting apps.
* Close after alarm is over, also nice when starting apps or such.
* No installation at all, just unzip and use. Portable and small.
Why not?
First off we need to download the server software, you can find it here. Look further down on the page and you’ll see a link to a Minecraft_server.exe, thats the one you need. Download it and put it in a folder, lets call it Minecraft_Server.
Now lets run the .exe file you just downloaded so that it creates the config files, and close it when it’s done generating the spawn point. Now your folder should look something like this.
world = the server map, it’s just been autogenerated.
banned-ips.txt = the list of banned IP adresses.
banned-players.exe = banned users.
ops.txt = server operators, users that can kick and ban etc.
server.log = the logfile.
server.properties = server settings, this one is important.
Before we go and configures the server properties, we need to open a port on your router or whatever your behind. Find the routers IP adress, easiest way is to enter cmd.exe and write “ipconfig”. Then look at whats the default gateway. Mine is 192.168.1.1.
So just write the ip adress in your browser(Firefox, Chrome etc) and log on to the router. In this tutorial I’m using a Dlink DIR-655, but it’s done almost the same on most of the routers out there. Click into Advanced, and find Virtual Server. Check the check-box and write the name of the port, just whatever you want to call it. Fill in your computers IP, it can be found the same way we found the routers address, just look for IPv4 Address. Set public and private port to 25565, which is the default minecraft-server port, protocol select both. It should look something like this:
Now just run the server .exe and it should be up and running! When thats done, you can check with this page that the port you opened is open. Of course there are many mods and server managers that are way better than the default one, but at least you get the idea of how you host your own server.

Just thought I share with others what my favorite apps for windows are, not only are they my most used apps but all of them are free. Anyhow, lets just begin!
1. Google Chrome – the best browser imo.
2. Tight VNC – Just love this simple and easy to use vnc software.
3. FileZilla – good and free FTP client & server.
4. Spotify – need to say more?
5. Realtemp – CPU & GPU temp monitoring software.
6. InfraRecorder – the best all-round DVD/CD recording software I’ve ever used.
7. VirtualCloneDrive – funny thing, when Windows 7 was released daemon tools didn’t work. So I started using this instead, and I’ve been using it since.
8. Songr – simple and easy to use mp3 downloader, uses 16 mp3 search engines.
9. HDD Health – use it to check if a disc is failing over time. Did a pretty good job when my 1TB disc died. Warned me some weeks before.
10. Paint.Net – I use this instead of Photoshop, since I got a kind of similar GUI.
11. ImgBurn – Great for burning image files, more settings than InfraRecorder.
12. Notepad++ – Beats notepad, great for viewing .nfo files.
13. uTorrent – the one and only torrent client.
Thats the most used and my fav apps. Anything you think I’ve missed? Please post a comment =)

How about a easy and simple tutorial on how to make a sort of security sensor using laser and a light dependent resistor?
It’s just as simple as this, the LDR reacts when it gets less light than the laser-dot in the center of it. Which is when something comes in the lasers way. So then you know when something passes the invisible line between the laser and the LDR.
Lets begin with what components you need:
1x Laser Emitter/Pen
1x LDR
1x Resistor 10k (doesn’t have to be 10k ohms)
1x Piezo Buzzer (you can use a LED or anything else you want)
And of course a Arduino board of your choice, and some wires.
Lets wire it all up like this:
Things to notice, buzzer is grounded and the + wire is on the digital 10. Laser is just ground and +5v to make it light constantly. The LDR is in a voltage divider with a resistor, we take out the readings in the middle where the yellow wire is, and it’s attached to the analog 0.

When all this is wired up, just put this code and run it.

I just came over this Arduino clone if I may say, it’s called NetDuino It looks almost the same as the Duemilanove board. Anyhow, you program it in Visual Studio C# Express using the .NET Micro Framework.

I’ve just recently discovered this awesome game. It’s a combination of Garrysmod/Cortex Command/Dwarf Fortress/Clonk, and Blockland.
To keep it short, you mine blocks to get different materials or building blocks. Then you can farm, hunt, craft etc. That is if you bought the game and get to test out the indev version. If you haven’t bought it, you can try out the survival mode. Or the sandbox single-player or multi-player where it’s all about building and digging. Which is also very fun, especially in multi-player mode. Read more about the game here.
