FuMesh is a mesh editor I made for fixing 3D models and getting them ready to print, without having to learn a full 3D suite. Version 0.1.0 is out today for Mac, Windows and Linux, as early access.
Early access. This is the first version. It works on my models and prints, but expect bugs and rough edges, and things may change between versions. Keep a copy of your original files, and don’t rely on it for anything important yet.

A model from a download, a CAD export, a sculpt or a scan often comes with holes, loose pieces, bad triangles or a rough surface. Auto Repair closes the holes it is sure about, removes the loose pieces and cleans up the rest, and it can do a dry run first, so you can read what it would do.
Or go step by step: Fill Holes lists every hole with its size and shape and closes it flat or curved, Islands removes loose pieces, Clean Up fixes bad and duplicate triangles, and Smooth evens out rough surfaces.

Print Check looks for what a slicer would trip over: holes, loose parts, flipped triangles, self-intersections, walls that are too thin and parts that don’t fit the printer. It sorts what it finds into what to fix and what to look at, and points to the tool that fixes each one.

It works offline, needs no account and sends nothing anywhere. It’s free and open source under the GPL.
I made FuMesh for my own models and prints. The code was written with Claude, and I take no responsibility for what it does to your files or your machine: no warranty, no support promise. In this first version the Windows builds aren’t signed, the Mac version is for Apple silicon and has only been tested on the newest macOS, and the Linux version needs a recent distribution such as Ubuntu 26.04. If it’s useful to you too, good.
For the Mac, Windows and Linux. Get it here!
