Just wondering what are the most common texture packs in use?
I'm currently using the 64x Misa texture pack which can be found here - http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/69354-64x123-misas-realistic-texture-pack-updated-1mar2012/
I think the Misa texture pack gives many of the 128x packs a run for their money and is not that overly intensive on CPU and Ram.

Hey RawJos.
I would really recomand the most common texturpack "Default".
Not really hard to get, you get it for free when you download minecraft.
This improves the experience of exploring the consept in minecraft, as it aswell gives you an classic nostalogic feeling when you move the camera around.
Hope this helps you forward for what to pick.
You'r dear Zozie.

That texture pack is sexy . I typically use a customized painterly pack(16x). It keeps to the original feel of minecraft while including optional MCpatcher files for water and lava. It takes a long time to customize after each update though, so I've been using JohnSmith(32x) lately, which has limited customization. I also run optifine whenever I use a HD texture which gets rid of the need for MCpatcher, makes the game a lot faster by getting rid of lag by increasing the fps and offers way more video settings. I highly recommend that mod for anyone. Its pretty easy to install too.

Re: Texture Packs
john smith looks good but i prefer misa's. i guess its just what i'm used to. i tryed one of the 256X photo realism packs but i thought it looked really poor and i should be able to run that fine. maybe im doing something wrong? Ornatecraft is pretty good if you want an rpg feel to the game. it has really cool armour and weapons. and vaultcraft is cool if you like the fallout series of games.
